ok, if you look close you can see where i hacked it together with spit, duct tape, coathangers and rubberbands. at the moment, there are entries from the old copy of MT and the new, coexisting on this page, and i think that went rather well.
however the moral of this story, for you who call me some sort of regal or mythical creature as regards my MT skills, i'm here to admit the fact is i'm not. i came to the point i couldn't export (too big, server times out) the MySQL issues were giving me fits and error 500's, i couldn't ping or have my recent comments list, and so i scrapped it and started fresh, rather than truly geek out and solve whatever was wrong. it was too much for me.
i feel so defeated. and yet, here this is. almost seamless. almost.

It all looks good to me. I'm STILL trying to figure out how to fix my archives from my old server. They're THERE, I just haven't done anything with them yet. (for some reason every time I tried to export before the move, it screwed up) Sigh.
You are still a goddess in my eyes, kd. ;)
i just made a template of the stuff i wanted to include from the old copy, and did php includes in the new copy. oh, but i have everything working like the good old days! it's so good to be free of the conflicts that my servers and the SQL coding of the new MT had with one another. that was so beyond me.
Don't try and destroy my image of you as the MT goddess. Your skills can run rings around mine (whatever that means).
Yes, this is the most tricked out MT based blog I visit. One of these days (hmmm...maybe today, I have some time...) I'm going to totally snag a few of the tricks I really like (that little subscription feature down there for one...)
All hail the queen.
or buy her presents or something.
There is always time to geek out, one need never rush it.
And you are Code Goddess. You can not escape it.
but ... did you notice you're in a completely different blog here? i couldn't save the old MT, so i just hooked two of them together, so it would run again.
that may be clever, but it's so not mt-queen-geeky. i don't deserve that title at all.
