big day tomorrow

i've been thinking about this for a long time, planning, procrastinating, having nightmares about the consequences of not doing it.

i am going to do it.

i am going to shave my legs.

this isn't a decision i've made lightly. i was trying to just give up on the shaving and not care, but the recurring nightmares of wearing a dress and having my furry legs out there for everyone to see, are getting to be too much. almost every dream these days (or, nights, but yeah, days too) have a leg hair component. in many of the dreams i'm hardly bothered by it, others, utterly mortified.

i've stocked up on razors, i suspect it might take more than one. it would be nice, you know, if i had one of those poodle-trimmer things to start with, but i'll have to make do with what i can.

are you grossed out yet?

unrelated: anyone know of a rentacar company that takes visa debit cards instead of credit cards? i'm leaning towards a rentacar for the vegas jaunt, safer, way way cheaper on gas (i would most likely save half the rental cost in gas).

Got 15000 hits; item 4 is allstate aka payless in Vegas itself. Try look for Payless in LA Cty, maybe?

15000? confusing. i will make some calls tomorrow to local agencies (i really need one *local* to ventura county, to ventura itself if possible), and hopefully scope something out.

i was thinking Dollar did it? or Budget? one of the big ones.

maybe i should get off the internet and open the yellow pages. hmm.

Is waxing out of the question?

I always use budget and I always use my visa check/debit card.

as long as the money is there for your registration and when you check out the car you're good to go.

don't know anything about wax & visa debit cards but maybe you're interested in the faxt that i'm visiting your site via MOZILLA...

happy weekend! :-)

No, not grossed out, just surprised because shaving your legs was a huge decision to make ;) Shaving is a good decision though, I tried wax once for scientific reasons and I won't recommend it, at least not on your chest, but I guess you don't need that anyway ;)

Good luck on the shaving! Remember to soak those legs for a few minutes first or you'll get those nasty little red bumps that are such a pain the ass. :p

hee. wax. I waxed my legs ONCE. I will never wax my legs again. That is all.

You can try leaving rows of hair, for a striped, custom look.

budget!! yay!! thanks!! ok, good, that makes me feel better.

i'm working up to the de-furring of the legs.

Nooooooooo. Don't de-fuzz, kd. It is a huge mistake. Trust me on this.

i can't do the hair anymore. you know i was sitting with one foot up on the other knee the other day and realized several inches of furred ankle were fully on display.

during my annual review. maybe that's why i didn't get a raise.

Renting is probably a smart move, just make sure you get unlimited mileage. And hopefully you will be able to spring a little extra for a big fast car to eat up the miles. I don't know how much car rental costs out there, but around here they are pretty cheap ($35.00 per day) for something like a Saturn.

Wow, Ventura's in a great location. I just looked it up on MapQuest, and since I have done the PCH drive from LA to San Fran, I've been through there a couple of times. I love that area, especially when you start to get up by Cambria and Big Sur and Monterey. You're lucky to live there! I was thinking Ventura was down by San Diego or something.

actually i'm looking at a little dodge neon (or comparable) that would run i think $28 bucks a day? $26? and the whole four cylinder thing is part of the savings of not taking the buick, so i can't really justify a fast car.

now the big decision is, that rentacar insurance. i know it's probably fifteen or twenty bucks more a day. my car insurance covers it to the extent it covers me, with a $500 deductible. which would suck ASS if something happened and the rentacar company put a five hundred dollar charge on my debit card. owie.

but insurance is a lot like gambling, in a way. i gamble by having the lowest legal limits and the highest deductible, figuring i'm betting on my ability not to use the insurance.

decisions, decisions.

oh, you've probably already done it, but DON'T DO IT! be proud of your leg hair! i think i've even posted about it at sometime.. but seriously, be proud of your furiness, in public, in private. leg hair is beautiful!!!!!!!!!! and it feels soooooo good to stroke, at least in my opinion. i run my hands through my leg hair like i run my hands through my head hair and its so nice. so, don't do it! and be proud of not doing it!!!!
