you know, i was ok with the good review with the 'we can't afford to give you a raise' at the end. sort of. i dealt with the no you can't have the $29.99 to upgrade your FTP client. i have always been ok with working on cold fusion sites using a (shareware) text editor. i'm dealing with all that. but you know? when a 2 gig P4 comes into the office, and gets appropriated by the retired boss so he can sit back there and play Real War, when goodies come through here and nobody thinks, hey, we're not paying this girl, we can at least throw her a bone here and there, well, ... i'm about done with this shit. they just don't fucking care.

and does he have to sit back there and gloat and chortle over it? i'm really glad your video game is all 3D looking with your fancy ass humongo video card. now shut the fuck up.

Good ol' corporate America - even with small companies - the bosses get fat and we just...get...I swear, it feels like the feudal system these days!

it really is. when management buys new Expeditions every year and charges their gas to the company card, yet they can't afford a piddlyass fifty cent an hour raise to say, hey good job, it really shows you where priorities lay.

yes, they're the owners and have 'earned' their privilege. that's the line that's used anyway. some companies *do* care about making sure their employees are well paid, (and have the tools to do their jobs) when the company does well, and not line their own pockets and say, sorry, we have ours, yours will have to wait.

um...... video cards are cool

:? ?| hey look a new wink pose... well sort of

here's some flowers cheer up kd

I know you're upset by this, and for you, I am too, but when you rant it's funny as hell. ;) BTW, your comment box remembers me now, and it's sticking it's tongue out at me for telling on it.

I think the problem was cause I dumped my cookies last night and lost my original skin selection. I think it took coming here and commenting more than once to make it stick with the info.

cookies are funny that way.

know what the retired boss who doesn't really work here but has the brand new two gig P4 is doing right now? sitting there with his feet up on his desk reading a magazine.

while i sit here wrassling databases on an ancient PIII. well, it's like a year old. still. i USE my computer. for WORK. (and blogging)

and thanks, it is meant to be funny, otherwise it would be me going mad.

Damn! You are downright sexy when you're pissed. ;)

I work with people like that. I feel your pain, believe me.

This is going to sound like bragging, and maybe it is...but I fell in love with my job all over again when *I* was given the new computer, rather than the hand-me-down from my boss.

That's the way it should be, isn't it? I guess I did my time in hell at my last job.

I say, if you are not even gettting the toys - it is time to move on. You deserve a new computer!

see now if i had had a beer for breakfast, i'd be in a much better mood. hey, live and learn.

that totally SUCKS ARSE! Sounds like you're right though, they don't care one bit. :(

Hey, it's Friday right? And there is a beerstore on the way home from work, right? Everything will look better in a few hours.

P.S. I'm sitting in front of a Pentium II with an old Dell monitor that flashes like a bad neon light and that locks up if I open more than 1 Explorer window at once, so things could be worse...

damn, stacey, i think you could file a complaint with like, OSHA or something. i think that's worker abuse.

I have a fast and powerful new HP with a new 21" flat screen monitor at work, and the main thing I do with it is blog. I'm still pissed that it's not an Apple.

*slaps wKen*

that was just mean.

Actually, kd, I don't think I can report it to OSHA, because I'm not really sure if it's my monitor flashing like a strobe light or my vision flashing like a strobe light. or maybe both.

Instead of OSHA, maybe I need a CAT scan.

This one almost tops yours, kd.
My husband's place of work got an Emmy. The newscaster, the producer, and the director.
The people who were actually out in the trenches (like hubby), and who made them all look good, didn't even get mentioned.......

ungrateful bastards!
