yesterday kurtwood brought home a book of pictures, in which he was the subject, and each of his classmates drew their version of my son. oh believe me, this one not only goes in the memory box, it goes there in a sealed plastic bag. absolutely priceless art here. i've scanned a few for you:
oh, and kurtwood's 300 exposures entry is up over at photojunkie!
* * *
update! and kurtwood's name is going to mars! (via skits)

great pics, definatly keep them. Don't mess up like we have done and kept stuff in the crawlspace (flooded) or garage (temperature extreames)
That's the best!
OMG. That is adorable! And what a cool idea, too.
My favorite is Zoe's. Kurtwood looks like one of those snakes from a can of surprise "Party Peanuts". Very energetic and joyful. I can almost hear *boing boing!* going on in the background of that one.
oh look -- Zoe has dots over her "e". that's so cute.
I'm a bit disturbed by the chainsaw - but it's a great project for kids! You learn so much about how others see you in the world.
That is a treasure! ack, you're making my ovaries ache again.
Oh my goodness! How priceless! I can't wait until Kindergarten!!!
Wow, Kurtwood has crazy spiked hair (see first picture)? Awesome! ;) I love the angry, cross-eyed bird. Hilarious!
Oh, how precious, kd. Definitely a treasure worth keeping. :-)
A small flock of angry birds? Chainsaws? Boy oh boy...
Oh, that is just precious! Yeah, a keeper for sure...
these kids today, eh?
what a cool idea for kids!
oh exactly -- every kid gets to be the "star" for the day, all the other kids get to hone thier artistic talents, and each kid gets a great book of memories.
we were very excited about this in our house last night.
that must be kurt diddy kurtwood in the last shot. when does he get his own record label?
Why on EARTH were my teachers not this insightful???
I'm going to propose this to my children's teachers. HOLY MOTHER OF WICKED COOL!
the red box on the side? it's where you keep the money, according to kurtwood. hey, we all gotta have a box to keep the money in right? right.
record label on the way, man. this kid rocks. at five and a half years of age, yes, he does rock.
I have those huge Rubbermaid bins full of school drawings and such. It's a little bit of an obsession over here. Heh.
You know what I love, love, love about kw's pictures? The teeth!! I don't know many kindergarteners - or kids for that matter - that will add on teeth like that. That's unique.
They are great.
Why do we have to grow up?
oh that's a great story, Jen, i love stuff like that. kids are such spontaneous free spirits, aren't they?
That is *so* priceless. How cool!! The angry bird thing is too funny!
Kids crack me up. Last night at the bowling alley, some little boy, I would say about age 5 or 6, was singing to the vending machine. Really singing TO it, like it was the love of his life. Cracked me up....
Kids....*shakes head* :O)
kids, sometimes i can't help but feel they're the best artists in the world...
