in honor of election day, and because i love accidental poetry:
This poem is composed entirely of actual quotes from George Bush. Circulating on the internet for some time, it was reportedly compiled by Washington Post writer Richard Thompson.
Make the Pie Higher
I think we all agree, the past is over.
This is still a dangerous world.
It's a world of madmen and uncertainty
and potential mental losses.
Rarely is the question asked
Is our children learning?
Will the highways of the internet become more few?
How many hands have I shaked? They misunderestimate me.
I am a pitbull on the pantleg of opportunity.
I know that the human being and the fish can coexist.
Families is where our nation finds hope, where our
wings take dream. Put food on your family!
Knock down the tollbooth!
Vulcanize society!
Make the pie higher! Make the pie higher!

"Put food on your family".
I think I'll try that next time I'm home, see what they say about it.
It isn't funny when you put all his speeches in the hands of foreign newspapers..
Saw "Oprah" today (don't laugh) on what other countries think of Ameria. It wasn't very nice, and quite scary actually...
well, that's very true -- and makes it all the more disturbing to see such rampant nationalism these days.
but sometimes it's better to laugh at it than cry.
I remember the day I heard him use the 'word' MISUNDERESTIMATE in a speech. I at first thought it was a genuine error. He then repeated it about a minute later. It was then that I had to ask myself, where did he go to school? I'm sorry, but he is not making waves for America in the eyes of many outside your country.
"where did he go to school?"
That would be Yale (ok, so it was a legacy entry; don't hold it against the Ivies).
I hate the butchering of the English language. I hate the way this makes the country in which I live look.
But it's better to laugh about it than cry; elsewise I'd never stop crying, and my eyes get all puffy and stupid-looking when I cry.
bwahahaa! That's awesome funny. :D
"knock down the tollbooth?"
i like the 'pitbull on the pantleg of opportunity' best, myself.
Perhaps he should not have employed his cousin as his speechwriter.
What an embarrassment.
i think that probably much of this is ad-libbed. that's when he seems to get into the most trouble.
