so the kitty went under the tree, and i grabbed the camera:

and then somebody wanted in on the fun:

and then i put the camera away, and the kid exclaimed in great distress, 'kitty has a hook thingy stuck to hims butt!'. so what did mommy do? right. grabbed the camera:

and then, of course, carefully removed the ornament from the kitty's furry behind.

the end.

addendum: a birthday story. or at least its pictures:

being the spongebob purse and the carved stamper with ink, as sent by the epic krix (ocean incense, not pictured, but smelled very wonderful). the stamp can be seen here, from when i was sitting up in birthday chat burning incense and stamping double happy all over myself.

it's been a great season.

Picture first, fix problem, blog it.

Yep, your priorities are set correctly <g>!

Sidenote: posting from a notebook through a wireless link on the way to the hospital would be just about the ultimate. Just ask the crew to idle for a moment near a Starbucks on the way in so you could use their connectivity...

Does that mean you r skin will soon turn yellow?
Heh.
Poor Kitty.
I bet it's not fun having a hook thingee stuck in your butt...

it was only in the fur of his furry butt. no damage done.

infact he's shedding like crazy, so pulling a bit of hair = no problem for kitty.

lots of emptying the vacuum and buying new filters though.

My kitties saw a Christmas tree for the first time ever this year. They went NUTS. I was very impressed at your glass ornaments hung at the bottom of your tree -- it gives me hope. Nothing but paper and wood for me, this year. They keep shaking things down (though they haven't figured out how to climb it yet, thank goodness).

Cute pictures. Good thing Kurtwood went under the tree to investigate, or Kitty might have had an ornament stuck on his butt all night long.

we also have 'kitty under the tree pictures'- they love the christmas tree, don't they?

My cat thinks the tree is a big ol climbing toy I set up for him. Haven't put up the tree this year because I'm not around enough to supervise. But the folks'll have one and I have a little portable one I'm carrying around, so I'm not tree deprived really. My cat is though!

we've had the tree up for a week now and *finally* last night kitty figured out it was fun.

right. "excuse me? there's warchalking here, i can patch in, can you cut the sirens and pull over? this will only take a minute while i hack the network. i gotta blog this!"

btw, that is my main purse now. i wear my spongebob proudly!
