getting twitchy with it

weirdest thing. for some time now (week? couple weeks?) i’ve been having episodes of eye-twitching. left corner of left eye. intermittent, not horribly obvious, probably not even something you could actually see looking at me.

alright, now don’t go telling me to get offline or go ‘outside’ or something. that’s not why this is happening, ok? it has nothing to do with the several dozen hours a day i spend on the computer.

the Linkmeister has a simple request: resizable comment boxes. he has instructions there. me? i’m a fan of the inline comments style. i find the popups too restricting when i have lots of things to say, which i often do. but that’s just me…

there will be more later… *twitch*

You know, if the insurance can stand it, I’d suggest going to see an ophthalmologist if it persists. I read a lot of stuff about eyes, and seems to me I remember something about that condition somewhere.

Thanks for the suggestion/link to instructions. ;)

I get it when I’m tired or have had too much caffeine.

    Weird, innit?

Allergies! Caffeine! Nerves! Stess! Lack of Sleep!

I know nothing of these things <g>…

I do know how to use a clothespin to hold my eyelid to my eyebrow so the twitching doesn’ t bother me as much.

‘Course, then people start talking about me once again…

My eyes twitch when I’m uber-tired. Have we been sleeping much lately?

  5. kd

ok this is weird: i got usual sleep but felt uber tired all week. didn’t sleep a whole lot more this weekend, infact last night was up till three and slept only till 9, but i felt less tired today for some reason. and no twitches today.

we’ll see if it comes back monday. if so, then i’ll have to blame it on work.

I have that exact twitch when I get stressed and don’t get enough sleep.
    Sound familiar perhaps? Hmmm?

  7. kd

why, i’m ever so sure i don’t know what you’re talking about batgrl. i was in bed by four. that’s a decent hour right?

Allergies? Stress at home? Stress at work?

I certainly wouldn’t suggest “turn off the computer & take a walk”… I was gonna suggest you need a good shagging.

May not cure the twitch, but it certainly wouldn’t hurt. ;0)

Being nervouse can do it everytime..
    Along with yer head shakin’
Then your toes start tapping, and yer hands start sweatin’
Yep, nerves il do it to ya!

Holy cow I go through the same thing. I could be driving along or walking or whatever and all of a sudden my eye decides it wants to get all jiggy with it while the rest of my body is going “dude you need prozac” glad I am not the only one ;)

Yesterday the corner of my right eye kept on twitching and was driving me crazy because I was at practice for a musical where I play the keyboard in the orchestra. I think it’s probably because of lack of sleep – I’ve been sooo busy lately, there’s so much to do and so little time. I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who’s had eye twitches.
