out of context

It brings out deeply hidden atavistic instincts buried deep within you and you begin to prowl in search of prey. Once you see them, you freeze… test the wind. Circle a bit, so as to have the clearest path to them for the final charge… Then you spring! You wave the bat. Maybe you miss once or twice, then you strike the death blow. ~~ Mad Bulll

Eventually I reached out my hands and started to move forward, feeling my way around, sorting out which way I was facing. Slowly at first then finding my footing I relaxed and enjoyed myself. ~~ Sarah

but most of all let me get it clear i’am not some mamby pamaby wuss boy i don’t like flowers or saving the rain forest or the whales and i don’t go hug trees so let me get one thing clear–for those of you who think my blog is a little too “mean” or “rude”, i got got three words for yah–whine somewhere else (or is that 4?). ~~ Wendy’s kid, aka the Dude, in his first real blog entry

“dude, it’s my blog” rocks. As soon as I saw the title I smiled. What a great mom you are, skits.

LOL..thanks krix. I’m kinda glad he’s taking an interest in the things his mom does, so I’m totally enjoying this. :D

Regarding the hockey comments…that is sort of my fault–my justification of hockey violence is that it’s only cool to hit someone else if you’re both wearing hockey skates. ahem.

The tree-hugging I totally blame on my husband. And the Simpsons. hee!

hee! I’m having so much trouble not just dying over the cuteness of my son, The Dude and his tough tough image.

Sigh. I forgot about Out of Context. How could I have done that? It’s so much fun to do!

having met the Dude myself, i was quite taken with his tough online persona. but then again this is the kid that told me hockey was cool because people beat each other up, so… :)

Wow, KD. I guess you liked it. That feels good… Thanks. :-)

    Also, I’m a tree hugger, and I don’t think I’m even 20% wuss.

MB, it was a very well written and amusing account of your struggles with the buggies.

Psst – yes, I’m still working on graphics! Haven’t forgotten!
Meanwhile I love the ones you picked – hee hee – tree hugging always comes up as an example of wussification, have you noticed?
