make it stop

rumsfeld defends war on terror — speaking of bin laden, he said:

“He may be dead, he may be seriously wounded, he may be in Afghanistan, he may be somewhere else,” the defense secretary said. “Wherever he is — if he is — you can be certain he is having one dickens of a time operating his apparatus.”

  1. the first part is reminiscent of the last rumsfeld quote i had, that really spacey, pink floyd kinda quote about knowing what we know or don’t know.

but the second part made diet cream soda come outta my nose.

  2. It occurs to me that if I were a US Army General, I’d be hesitant to invade anything for fear I’d misunderstood. I hope we have a few of those generals on the JCS.

  3. well, at least we know that we don’t know whether he’s alive or dead (actually, we do know that he is either alive or dead. it’s one of those two).

but you have a good point, Linkmeister, the secretary of defense isn’t making things very clear, is he? aside from the unfortunate stumbling over the words to give us dirty minded people something to titter at.

  4. Presenting: SCHROEDINGER’S BIN LADEN!

Until we open the entire Middle East like an over-ripe melon, Bin Laden exists in a superstate of LIFE/DEATH!

Until we collapse the PROBABILITY WAVE his UNENDING REIGN OF TERROR MAY OR MAY NOT CONTINUE!!!
