well, i have about a foot-long ponytail. it’s in my car right now. and i feel soooo weird.

it’s about to my shoulders, and is pretty much all my natural color (mouse brown) for the first time in nearly thirty years. i’m not sure how long that will last, but for now, it’s kinda cool.

If you get feeling too naked without the extra hair I have a really rocking afro wig you can borrow!
this is actually an incredibly rare occasion. i think i’ve had my hair cut perhaps three times in the past five years. and yes, it certainly does feel good.
Agreed that long hair is impractical and takes too much time, but “for young people”? For straight people? For hippie people? For bored people? Humph. It’s for whomever wants to bother with it.
Me, I think I’m still in the “young people” category at 26, but I’ve never been happier since that day in January when I whacked off my waist-length tresses. (It’s boy-short now.)

i agree that long hair is for those who want to bother with it. in 1999 my hair was the longest (mid back) it had been since i was a little girl. it slowly creeped itself back up into a bob.
and i’m with Ann. as soon as there is enough white in my hair i’m going to quit colouring it and grow it to my ass.
Well, my hair is turning grey,and I’m letting it grow. And,for me,
it is alot easier. No gels, mooose, notin.
Clip it back and away I go.
Short hair can look reallly adorable on some people. And it can look really perky ya know???

I always feel better when I cut my hair off. Then I let it grow out, and then, when I’m feeling blue, I cut it off again. Hair is so cool the way it grows so you can cut it. hee!

it’s tempting. but i haven’t seen my own real haircolor in about thirty years, so i think i’ll get to know it awhile before i go all crazy red again.
