and so finally i get through to the ISP (i left a message. the owner’s daughter called me back.) “my dad will reset the routers from here” and a short while later, everything was back.
they only had three other calls like this today (not sure why those folks didn’t get any rebooty, maybe they didn’t say geeky enough things) but all in all, i have to say i’m pretty darned happy having an ISP that returns phone calls at 10 something saturday night (and then calls back to make sure everything’s up and running).
and now everything’s back to norman.
